The Introduction
At Dillon Morgan Consulting (DMC), we are thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the Wave 1 graduates from the City of Garland’s Business Transformation Leadership program. As the program director of the DMC Academy, I am immensely proud of the dedication, hard work, and commitment displayed by these exceptional individuals throughout their training journey.
The City of Garland’s commitment to investing in its people as the greatest asset is truly commendable. Through our partnership, we have witnessed firsthand the passion and drive of Team Garland in embracing innovation and continuous improvement at every level of the organization.
The Journey
The four-day training program, combined with weekly check-ins, biweekly sync sessions, project work, and exams, provided the Wave 1 graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to drive significant process improvements within many city departments. From increasing Animal Shelter live release rates to optimizing Sanitation routes and enhancing public communication, the impact of these projects is truly inspiring.
The projects undertaken by the graduates ranged from improving the site permit request experience for developers to strengthening team morale, showcasing the diverse range of initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, inclusivity, and effectiveness within the City of Garland.
The Path Ahead
We are excited to continue supporting Team Garland in their journey towards a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. The graduation ceremony took place on July 17th, marking a significant milestone in the transformation journey of the City of Garland.
